Williams Cedar is pleased to announce an important victory. After winning an appeal to the Third Circuit in a civil rights case the case brought on behalf of a deceased Pennsylvania State Trooper killed by his instructor during a training exercise, the defendant sought review by the Supreme Court of the United States. Williams Cedar opposed, requesting the court to decline to take the case. Now the Supreme Court has announced it will not hear the case. This victory preserves the successful Third Circuit decision and returns the case to United States District Court for Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where the litigation will at last proceed. More importantly, our success in the Supreme Court and Third Circuit means our client, the mother of the decedent, will finally have her day in court.
